Can't change playback audio track #209
Comments
@prayag17 would you like me to provide additional data (images and stuff)? |
Yeah that would be nice |
I've tried to include more information within the original post. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see @prayag17. |
Hi, still having the exact same problem here with the exact same characteristics. A track with a default audio track which i change before playback, the video plays in the default audio track regardless and there's no visible way of changing the audio track during playback |
Use the latest dev builds this issue is fixed there |
Alright, thanks! |
Bug Description
The audio track selection is always frozen on the default track. I've attempted to switch the playback audio track via the audio drop-down menu on a video file page but the selection is always reverted to the default track. Furthermore, I can't change the audio track during actual playback of a video as the cog icon is grayed out (I presume that's where the subtitle/audio track selection menu would be located. This applies to all the media files within my Jellyfin library. I suppose it might be useful to mention that the settings button is grayed out in the avatar drop-down menu as well (the one that pops up after you right-click on the avatar icon on the top-right section of the UI).
The file I'm trying to play is an
.mkv
file. I haven't tested media files with other codecs so I can't confirm this issue is prevalent across all the different media file codecs. To reproduce:
Screenshots:
Changing the audio and subtitle track via the "Audio" and "Subtitle" options results in an instantaneous flicker of the text changing to the newly selected audio or subtitle track followed by a return to the default track (shown in the image).
The cog that, I suppose, would be used to change the audio/subtitle track is grayed out. I couldn't find any other way for changing the track.
Not sure if this is related, but the "settings" option is grayed out in the profile drop-down menu as well.
