Because copa is based on buildkit, it has the ability to build for different architectures. Therefore, regardless of the architecture of the image scanned by trivy, the repaired copa image will still maintain the original architecture.
Thanks for raising the issue! Technically, this is supported but you would need to provide scan reports for each arch and platform specific image (digest or tag), and recreate the manifest list if needed. This UX is not great.
Idealy, copa should have a better UX around multi-arch images so it's less burden for the user.
