I tried to install the plugin and I saw the warning that the plugin doesn't support my android version
Plugin doesn't support this project's cordova-android version. cordova-android: 8.0.0, failed version requirement: <=5.1.9

There's any update I'm not aware of?

You can just release the requirement. It will work.
