Show + Year - Processing failed: This show isn't in your list

Describe the bug
Show is snatched in Daily Search and discarded during import, this is happening due to the year being added in the file while it is not present in Medusa.

I do have enabled Append (year) to each show title

Would it be possible to add the show + year as an exception to all shows when this is enabled?
Because in the show list it is very hard to see at that point whcih show is actually in the list with or without the year as scene name.

After adding scene exception it works.

I've encountered similar occasionally. As a work around I add the year to the scene exception field and rerun manual post process. I have noticed Medusa has issues properly parsing years and refusing to import at times.

That is what I'm doing now as well, but with that option Append (year) to each show title you can't see in the list any more what the actual show name is. As everything will be listed with year even if the show name in the DB is without it.

The Append (year) to each show title option is only aesthetic. It states The show title with year is only used for show folder creation as representation in the UI. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post but snatched shows being discarded during import have no relation to this specific option.

I understand, what I mean is that either always or only when that option is enabled (that is something to debate about) it would make sense for Medusa to automatically add shows with their name and the name + year

I wish that the error message "This show isn't in your list" would actually read "This show isn't in your scene exception list";
I always append the year to shows by default.
show name (2021)
So shows will only match if the year is present;
This is the wanted result... adding a scene exception would fix this issue but make sure that there is not another show with the same name. like;

this will mess up both shows...
downloads from both shows exist with out years appended..
Been trying to figure out how Medusa decides what show to append to it if both shows have the scene exception without the year.

Also is there a way to delete a scene exception that was pre-loaded by Medusa?

I have something similar with LEGO Masters, I'm following the US and AU one but from TMDB they are both imported as LEGO Masters which will does not help with snatching.
This is specifically together with TMDB as they do not ass the (US) and (AU) suffix in the tittle

I do the 3 US, UK, and AU

only good thing is there is no scene exception for "LEGO Masters"

It took some effort to get all 3 loaded like this....
I get list exceptions all the time for these shows (its good) so I adjust the show name to match the correct one,
There are quite a few shows that fall into this category, don't see any way to automate this process except to ignore the badly named downloads or manually fix them..

I came across another issue with exciptions... NOVA
seems that there are diffrent episode naming between online data bases... Ie;

First theTVDB

next themoviedb

here is the current downloads;

looks like that this group is using the themoviedb listing, (its closest)

My Nova series is a mix mash of episodes in the wrong order. I need to fix
the current downloads would get renamed using theTVDB placing the episode in the wrong place.

I think until downloads get better naming this is an issue thats not easily fixed software wise.

Guess the ability to switch off the auto post processing by show, would be the best solution currently.

One question is how does Medusa rank the SxxExx over a title in the download if it exist?
Because in this case the episodes in the download have the correct title but the wrong SxxExx

I could easily add it. But the thing is, where do you stop. Shortyly people also want to have required, preferred words there.
These are all advanced options. And also not savable as default options, which would also cause confusion.
