To date, int is the only integer type used in cytoolz. So far this has "just worked", but questions remain:

  1. Should other integer types ever be used?
  2. What about Py_ssize_t?
  3. What about @cython.boundscheck(False)?
  4. What about @cython.wraparound(False)?
