Open QGIS Browser and right-click on any file. To add a layer to the map, you can choose between "Add layer" and "Add selected layers". I notice that there's a little (very little) difference between them: when you have many selected files, you can use "Add Layer" to add to the map:

  • only one of the selected files
  • or a not selected layer, but in this case you need to hold ctrl or shift key when right-clicking (otherwise that file will catch the selection focus - simply left or right clicking on a row selects it).

I don't know if there's another use case for this nor if that one would be more obvious, but do we really need the two actions?

I think that aerating the context menu by merging these two actions into a single one is worth the change. There's a single button at the top of the panel, btw.
