When merging features the most frequent action I find I need is to apply the same merging metric to all fields yet this still needs doing one field at a time in the merging dialogue.
For example. I have a shapefile with over fifty fields and I want to merge two shapes. I want the fields to all be the average (by mean) of the values in the fields. Currently I have to select "mean" in each of the fifty field headers.
There is already a single button to make all fields in the merged shapefile the same as one of the originals, could we have a drop-down list, similar to that which currently heads each individual field, which applies to all fields in the merge?
