Describe the bug
I am using @geometry_point_count to style marker line feature.
Looks like this variable is always equal to 1.
This issue was not fixed in #25406

How to Reproduce
create a temporay line layer
draw a line
add a style with marker line
set marker type to font marker
set character to expression "to_string(@geometry_point_count)"

QGIS and OS versions
QGIS 3.8.3, windows 7 x64

I might be mistaken but I don't seen any implementation in the source, only the variable declaration.

It's only available in certain situations -- change the marker placement to "on every vertex" and it will work correctly

But @geometry_point_num works, so I expect @geometry_point_count to work too.
