Is it worthwhile setting up eslint to catch formatting inconsistencies?

Yes - the other two repositories in the Color ecosystem have switched to XO which is a pre-configured set of ESLint rules. This library is on my list for a makeover at some point so when that happens it'll conform to those formatting rules. :)
