January 2023: The Chrome browser will no longer run Manifest V2 extensions
https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/mv3/mv2-sunset/

This means the browser extension cannot be used anymore on Chrome in January 2023!

Challenges

https://github.com/webextension-toolbox/webextension-toolbox is abandoned and doesn't support Manifest v3
- Starting from scratch would be a HUGE effort and needs a lot of research
Firefox still doesn't support Manifest v3
- Code split? Very painful
Lots of things to rewrite to make things work in v3
