SQL Server 2008R2 installation

Software

• http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=26113
• https://www.virtualbox.org/

Create the VM

• Since we are going to attached the Virtual disk later, Select Do not add a virtual drive.
• Copy TD01WS08SFR2SP1x64.vhd to the VM folder
• Remove the SATA control
• Add TD01WS08SFR2SP1x64.vhd under IDE control .If we add under SATA, we would receive the BLUE SCREEN upon the OS bootup.
• In my Lab environment , I choice Bridged Adapter

Now start the VM.

The password is pass@word1

Create querydsl/querydsl account

Enable TCP/IP access for 127.0.0.1 with port 1433

Disable Windows Firewall

Enable portforwarding 1433->1433 and 1434->1434 on VirtualBox

Run all updates via Windows Update
