Biometric unlock does not work

I'm not sure if this is an issue with goldwarden or bitwarden extension, but the biometric unlock stopped working, giving a "Biometrics cannot be completed, consider using a master password or logging out. If this persists, please contact Bitwarden support." message.
The unlock works with browser extension version 2024.7.1, but does not with 2024.8.0. I think it might be related to bitwarden extension adding support for biometric unlock on linux with the official app.
To be clear, the goldwarden confirmation prompt pops up, but on confirmation a popup appears with the message above.
I use Firefox Developer Edition version 130.0b9-1 and my own fork of goldwarden based on f7e1cae, but I changed no code related to browser unlock, so it should be exactly the same as with last versioned goldwarden.

Mine has also stopped working but was fine up until today. I'm using the following versions:

OS: Fedora Linux 40 KDE
Goldwarden: 0.3.3
Bitwarden Extension: 2024.8.0

I think it's because of some of the biometric changes I introduced upstream in the extension. Whoops! Will debug on the weekend.
