There's currently no support for multiline values. Each value needs to occupy one line only, and there only the width provided.

Is it something pillar is likely to support? If not, are there any workarounds you would recommend?

That's fine. And your workaround from ropensci/drake#489 (comment) should solve my original problem quite nicely.
