Detailed context (ISSUES WILL NOT BE INVESIGATED WITHOUT IT!):

Your Desktop:

  • OS: [e.g. Windows 10]
    Windows 10
  • App type: Standalone or Overwolf
    Standalone
  • App Version [e.g. 2.0.22]
    2.2.29

Describe the bug
The app used to work fine until it crashed at one point. I reinstalled it after removing all settings in %APPDATA%. I reinstalled the app and and tried syncing my account again. It redirects to the webpage to log me in and as soon as i click the connect account button the app freezes with the (not responding) header.
Up till i click the sync button i can navigate the different tabs in the app.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Remove data from %APPDATA%
  2. open tracker
  3. click sync account
  4. allow connection
  5. App freezes
I've tried numerous times and each time with the exact same result.

Hello,
I suggest to uninstall MTG Arena Pro tracker completely by using its built uninstaller and not manually. Just follow one of these methods:

1) Start Menu:
Click Start, and choose your app from the list that appears.
Right-click the app you wish to remove.
Select Uninstall.

2) Control panel
Click on the search area in your taskbar.
Type "Control Panel," then select it.
Choose Programs > Programs and Features.
Find the program you want to delete, and right-click on it.
Choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change (depending on what appears).
Proceed through the steps from the Windows 10 uninstaller to complete the process.

3) Settings page
Click Start.
Choose Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.
Choose the apps you want to uninstall and click the Uninstall button.

After you have uninstalled MTG Arena Pro tracker just reinstall it and sync account.

I've got this same hang.
More specifically, the tracker started hanging at launch. I cleared the data from appdata as well, which allowed the tracker to launch, but once I linked it to my mtgarena.pro account ( mtga.cc/u/Cyrus Bufkin (Irick) ) it hangs. Of note, I got a notification saying it completed parsing the old logs. I suspect some function related to uploading the data to the mtgarena.pro service is hanging.

Are there logs of any sort that might let me narrow down the issue?

Hello,
I'm just a user like you but first I suggest to uninstall MTG Arena Pro tracker completely by following the instructions in my post above, then reinstall it. Also be sure to install the latest version 2.2.31 that you can find here https://github.com/Razviar/mtgap/releases
Also always be sure to start MTG Arena Pro tracker first and after you have done it you should start MTG Arena client. When MTG Arena is opened you can check the tracker's status by switching to its window with alt+tab. If the tracker is working fine you should see a green message that the log is parsed to the current time. If the tracker isn't working you should see a red message instead. If you see a red message the reasons could be the following: if you have Steam or Epic MTG Arena client or if you install the normal WOTC client in a different directory that the default one you have to manually locate the correct folder for MTGA_Data path in tracker's "Settings" tab as the tracker doesn't do it automatically. For Steam version the folder should be under your Steam games folder, for example C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MTGA\MTGA_Data.
Lastly you have to check that the file SharpMonoInjector.dll is in folder C:\Users{your Windowsusername}\AppData\Local\mtgaprotracker\app-2.2.31\resources\app.webpack\main\native_modules as some antivirus (i.e Microsoft Defender) block or quarantine that file preventing the tracker to work.
If you have Microsoft Defender antivirus and that file isn't there anymore you have to restore it from quarantine https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/restore-quarantined-files-microsoft-defender-antivirus
After you have restored it you should whitelist that file SharpMonoInjector.dll https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26#ID0EBF=Windows_11

If it still doesn't work after reinstalling it you can try to wipe all tracker's setting ("Settings" tab) and re-sync the tracker with MTG Arena Pro account.
