Removes need for plenary dependency with a custom async module. Also allows a better experience with async usage thanks to better typing, annotations etc.
Capturing wrapped function errors and re-raising in the coroutine means that we don't need a custom pcall. This simplifies user code and avoids spawning a new coroutine just for handling errors
