Select all tracks (excluding folder tracks) #654
Comments
Hi, |
This action selects all tracks which are not part of a folder, so doesn't select folders and their children. Were you looking for an action that selects all tracks (children and tracks outside folders) except folder tracks (the parent)? |
If behavior, which wolqws described, will be desired (select every track except first level of folder tracks), it could be done with custom action with : SWS: Select all folders (parents only) |
I want to select everything, in a folder, or outside a folder, just not the actual parent track, because as I described the gain would be adjusted twice. I just tested, and that custom action combination does exactly what I want, Thanks guys! :) I still think it could be a useful action to add, but there's no urgency. |
Yes it will be there in next build. |
Good to know it will be in the next build. For some reason the simple custom action above would not work consistently. Often only the first few folder tracks would be selected. |
I would love an action to select all tracks, but not folder tracks.
The only reason I ever select every track is to adjust all the gains up or down, but I always have to manually unselect every folder track, otherwise the gain change would be doubly applied to every track in a folder.
It's not a huge task, but with average track counts over 100, with typically 5-10 folder tracks, the time saved would certainly add up...
