If I use the gridify modifier at a scale that puts gridlines at the edges of the tile, then the edges always line up nicely because the edges are at the exact same height. However, this is not always possible.
For example, this tile has a curved surface that cuts off the edges of the tiles on the bottom right.
Those tiles go right up to the edge, when you can imagine if you did this in real life you'd have to put some mortar between the edge of the tile and whatever is on the other side (maybe a wooden inset, for example).
It would be incredibly useful if there was a way I could specify an indent similar to gridify that traces the exact outline of the tile.
