LM 20.1 / Cinnamon 4.8.6

To reproduce:

  1. Right click on the Parcellite icon and choose "Preferences". This creates a second icon in the panel.
  2. Now click back on the original icon.
  3. Go back to Preferences and try to close it (click OK or Cancel or the Cross icon).

Expected Result: Preferences window should close.
Actual Result: The window cannot be closed. The application has to be killed from the terminal.

This is a known issue. I don't know where the original bug report is.
My main goal is to re-write Parcellite without GTK2, since the latter is deprecated, and this will be fixed in the rewrite.

ctl-alt-x to open permanent list
edit an item
ctl-alt-h to open non-permanent list -> parcellite hangs up, and you must kill it and rerun.
