registry error parsing json

This message appears as soon as i do my first npm install from the root of my application (after installing sinopia and running it, a)
Of course, If i set npm registry back to npmjs.org, it works fine.

Can you show full npm log and/or sinopia log?

Ok, something funny happened: when i went for the logs, i couldn't find them...nothing. Not even the http requests....so I realized that no request were going into sinopia...but I had my registry value configured to localhost:4873....but then I realized that I also had the proxy variable set to my work proxy, and that was the problem....removed the proxy and worked perfectly....
the error message is somewhat confusing though...
