I like the simplicity of the pepper, although I was also thinking that a spreadsheet getting some salt/ pepper shaken onto it might convey the idea a little better

The salt+pepper-shaker direction seems right...but that fiery pepper is nice & eye-catching...

(alternatively, a spreadsheet on fire? sending the wrong message? :)

I was wondering whether it would look more unique (not sure it should) with say green polka dots (or more salt like dots) in the border? Cf forwards/tasks#3 (comment)

Or the white backgrround could be made transparent and superimposed on a grid that'd look like a spreadsheet?

These are awesome! I do love the color, simplicity and obvious connotation of the chili pepper. I do also really like the salt-shaker analogy; I think it makes it clearer that this is "something small and simple you add on top of the data" rather than the suggestion that the data is "hot/spicy/exciting". Wondering if the readr hex provides inspiration for a simple depiction of tabular data? Not sure how to combine chili + salt-shaker...

👏 I love it even as a vegetarian. 😉 Was just wondering about copyright in such a case?

Yeah copyright might be tricky. But if folks like it, I can contact the photographer and ask. 🤷‍♀️
