I was asked to port Move Base Flex(MBF - https://github.com/magazino/move_base_flex/ ) to ROS2. What do you think about that?

I think you might be interested the work being done by the ROS2 Navigation Working Group, though you're probably aware from magazino/move_base_flex#75.
