Quotes:

  • "My state doesn’t mail tests, although I know others do. Here, they are sometimes distributed through the libraries, but it’s variable."
  • "I think this would have to be manual search by county, as even within states, different towns distribute free rapid tests differently. For example, in NYC there’s a long list of places to pick up free test including most schools, libraries and fire stations. Same is not true a few hours away in another County."

Me: would be great if there was a way for a site that is trying to cover this nationally (as covid.gov could do) to find this info out for each state/county.
Perhaps each state covid site has a page on getting masks?
Perhaps county sites do?

If we could (easily) get a list of those per state, etc... We could make it easier for people to find.
For example, when you go to a state on /evusheld or /paxlovid sites now, i show info about the state health dept, including a pointer to the covid page for the state. I manually collected all those, plus the twitter account for every state health dept, etc...
I put that info in a .CSV file (think excel spreadsheet) and can have my site show that info for each state. Link to that state info: [https://github.com//data/states/state-health-info.csv](https://github.com/rrelyea/covid-therapeutics/blob/main/data/states/state-health-info.csv)
