Progress of Saved-to-server bookmarking on shinyapps.io #1435
Comments
shinyapps.io does not currently support server bookmarking, but I know the feature is on that team's radar. |
@alandipert Bookmarking State article on RStudio's website has been saying for a while that "Support in shinyapps.io is in development and testing". Is there a timeline for when server bookmarks would work on shinyappsio? |
Seconding @daattali's request. Based on my reading of the current docs, if you have an app hosted on shinyapps.io that has a lot of parameters (so URL bookmarking will fail in IE), there does not seem to be any way to successfully bookmark it, in the absence of server bookmarking. |
That gives me an idea. I might write a package that helps with this |
@daattali cool! Excited to follow you if that comes to fruition. Let me know if you need a large (but very messy) app for testing. |

Hi,
The Saved-to-server bookmarking is a very nice feature. I am wondering when it is going to be included in shinyapps.io? Also once implemented, how many bookmarking states are allowed to be saved on the shinyapps.io per instance? And how can the maintainer keep track of the bookmarking states (for example, delete those that haven't been used for a while)? Thanks!
