Adrian on Discord seemed to believe NetConnection uses sockets and therefore will never be able to work on the web, but I don't know enough about Flash development to know if that's always true, so I was curious if another developer had more knowledge about it. This is an AS3 article about Flash Remoting, although the websites I am referring to use AVM1 and NetConnection (#265): https://help.adobe.com/en_US/as3/mobile/WS4bebcd66a74275c34219bc0c12431922a0c-7ffb.html.
http://www.eugenicsarchive.org/eugenics/list2.pl and http://www.g2conline.org/ both rely on Flash Remoting, with the remote gateway being on the same domain as the SWF. I don't think they rely on policy files, since by being on the same domain there shouldn't be CORS issues. I'm just curious if Ruffle expects to ever make those work again, or if they should be permanently decommissioned.
