A hack or a tool (website) to educate a family member about climate change
Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. The temperatures have risen and so have the sea levels, all of which have had adverse effects on animal and plant life. Thus, it becomes important to raise awareness about climate changes, as at the end of the day, change starts with us. Our website aims to do the same, by providing information to educate people about the reality of climate change and how it’s affecting the world.
Functionalities:
- Live News: Our python script at the backend scrapes news sites using climate-related keywords and NLP (Natural language processing).
- Climate Anomalies: Interactive world maps to visualize climate anomalies; Zoom in to any city in the world.
- Weather reports: Check the current weather conditions of any city in the world.
All of the mentioned functionalities are made available to the users on our website which supports UI/UX for any device. e.g., PCs, laptops, smart phones, tablets etc.
