Hi,

I tried to download some shows today and I keep getting the same message
[anirip] Error: validating session: could not verify session

Does this have anything to do with Cloudfare Protection? Because I heard that every other script is not working anymore.

I've had this same problem off and on for awhile now. Usually I wait about a day and it clears itself up, but that doesn't seem to be the case this time. I was actually on my way here to see if anyone was having the same issue.

In the meantime, you could use youtube-dl. It seems to still work.

youtube-dl is having the same issue as well. looks like crunchyroll did change something with its cloudfare protection so it requires you to do a captcha manually

My guess is that crunchyroll finally added captcha to its login which it previously didn't have (or if it did have it I just never noticed and this app never should have worked to begin with). The fix for this (hopefully) is to use the mobile app API (see streamlink's implmenetation). If I get some free time I'll work on a PR for this to fix it.

Thanks for the recommendation @hekmon . I use this method currently because it's easy to automate and leave in the background. Is it easy to manage multiple shows with this software. Also at the moment I archive the download to a separate drive and create a blank empty file with the same name to trick the software into think its downloaded without taking up space. Would I have to do something similar for this application too?

Wow. I have no idea 🤔

Your usage of the app is for more advanced than mine 😅

I do also automate a bit with anirip to sync the show I want on a regular basis.
The one you suggested to work, but cannot be automated at all, you can only process 2 at once, cannot queue more... must wait to complete to get another one...
ok it do the job, but not the way we were expecting with anirip.
