Turns out that at least some progress was made at ​http://wiki.sagemath.org/i18n/Italian toward this goal. Maybe it can get in eventually?

Great! Now, it suffice to

• put those files to the $SAGE_ROOT/src/doc/it/ directory (with the same structure as for the english directory)
• configure your git and git-trac (see the developer'd manual)
• create a git branch related to this ticket git trac checkout 18699)
• add the file to the stagging area (git add <file>)
• commit your changes (git commit -m '<message>')
• push your changes (git trac push)
• set this ticket to needs_review

The FAQ are done. It would be nice to have someone else check for typos.
I also started looking at the other files (although I'm giving priority to other tickets) but it will take a while before I get through all of them.

Can we create a separate ticket with Italian FAQ (so that it can be merged quickly)?

I doubt the urgent need for Dev manual in Italian (there are no other translations AFAIK)

There is already #19025 for the developer guide.

Please remove the following code from the branch. It breaks the patchbots, causing them to run out of disk space, so I am detaching the branch from the ticket for now.

Now I'm building the documentation to check that everything works

It was in src/doc/it/developer/coding_in_cython.rst, see for example 3d92c396bfd528b4d.

Since there is #30301 for the FAQ and #19025 for the developer guide, it seems there is nothing else to do here, so let us close this as duplicate.
