Crashes on selecting wlan0 #47

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.opening fern
2.selecting wlan0
3.my computer fully freezes up 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
computer fully freezes up 


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Backtrack 5 r3

Please provide any additional information below.
alienware m11x
I already tried reinstalling backtrack 5 on my USB and nothing, I also tried 
updating fern, and the same happens.
also tried:
* Run this: airmon-ng start wlan0
* Put the wireless switch off
* Select the wlan0 as interface in Fern
* Put the wireless switch on
* Wait a few seconds
* Start scanning

and keeps crashing.

same problem nd now when i click on fern cracker..it's not even open..
i've same os backtrack 5 r3 nd lenovo g570 laptop

Same thing os backtrack 5 r3 Hp net book. Happens to me when I select wan0. I 
reinstall and it works fine until I use another program that puts it into 
monitor mode. When I go to use Fern after it freezes again. I reinstall and it 
works. This bug bugs me.  Maybe Fern gets jealous of other programs and wants 
monitor mode all to itself. haha.

It's not executing sometimes, When it works tells me there is no wireless 
interfaces found, I've installed wireless driver and it works pretty good with 
me, I'm using Backtrack 5 R3, I have Dell Inspiron R15 5520
