Hi!
I was experimentingh with this quite a bit, and finally got to receive (sadly not send) some files!

But since my friend updated his iPhone 8 to iOS 15, I couldn't get it to work in any way. His iPhone won't see my OWL/Opendrop no matter how many times and how many ways I restart it 😭

This may mean that Apple actually read your raports 😅 and locked AirDrop to only authenticated devices with certificates or something...

receiving works for me on iPad Air 4 (iPad OS 15.1) (sending from iPad to opendrop)

does NOT work on iPad Air 1 (iOS 12.5.5) or iPhone 11 (iOS 15.1)
there is no "POST /Discover HTTP/1.1" 200 so it doesn't show up as device in AirDrop menu

on all devices airdrop is set to "contacts only" (but i guess this is relevant for receiving only)
