First, thanks for the iCade controller enhancement (and I know its
experimental at this point)!

After overwriting the mame file in the iMame package in the Applications
directory on the iPad, when I tap the iMAME4all icon, the screen immediately
goes black and then returns to the "desktop." I have tried rebooting the
device and reinstalling iMame4all(and reloading the new mame file) with no
success.

I am running ios 4.3.3 (83J) on an iPAD 1. My version of iMame4all is 1.6.1.
When I check the /var/mobile/Library/Logs/CrashReporter on the iPAD, I don't
find any reports of a crash.

This is related to file permission, reinstall IMame and check out file
permissions with iFile, ensure you have the same permissions when you copy the
file. You can change with iFile also. Also email to ION so they send me a
cabinet to test it... :)

That was it.

For those who have the same issue, here are the steps I followed:

1. Follow the instructions and install iMame4All and overwrite the Mame file in
the iMame4all package.

2. Download iFile as the author suggests or you can also download MyFile if you
don't need all the features of iFile (both from Cydia). I went with Myfile.

3. Navigate to the /Applications folder

4. Click on iMame4all.app (on the name not the arrow)

5. Click on mame (on the arrow, not the name)

6. Click on Permissions. My said 0644 and change it to 0755

7. Tap done.

That's it.

Hi. On iPad 2 running 8.0.2 I have the same issue. I have installed through
Cydia and I try and open the App and the screen goes black and then goes back
to the home screen. Can you please assist? Thanks.
