Have more responsive ways of showing git branches, gps and file names/paths in the statusline. Examples of possible improvements include:

  • Clipping with ellipsis after a given length based on available screen size.
  • Showing short names (e.g., some/path/to/file.ext -> s/p/t/file.ext) after a given length based on available screen size.
