Creating an InDesign file.

Introduction

Pathway creates an IDML file from the users content and styles. Then it is launched, which will bring up the InDesign program.

Details

Pathway supports a Post processing operation so the technical user can process the XHTML or css file between the time it is generated by Pathway and the time it is used to create the IDML file. Also there is a post processing possibility that can edit the contents of the IDML file before it is zipped and launched. This gives the technical user the possibilities to create some automation. The user can also use PathwayB to process the XHTML exports from FieldWorks.

The default process for dictionaries puts the pictures lined up with the top of the entry that references them. They are one inch high. This allows many pictures to be placed in the dictionary. The pictures are placed in a frame with space for the caption in the frame. They may need to be un-grouped if they are going to be re-sized.
