Attempting to use this project with LMS https://github.com/epoupon/lms , Lightweight Music Server. As noted there

Note: since LMS may store hashed and salted passwords or may forward authentication requests to external services, it cannot handle the token authentication method. You may need to check your client to make sure to use the password authentication method.

It is unclear based on bonob documentation if this is possible? Perhaps I missed it. As expected, out of box,

I see, looks like LMS only supports the clear text password subsonic auth method.

bonob currently does not support that, however it wouldn't be a huge change, it's more a case of finding the time.

Leave this issue open and I'll take a look.

I'm having the same issue when trying to connect to the subsonic server exposed by Nextcloud Music, which doesn't support token auth either. The rationale is explained at the end of the first comment here: owncloud/music#718.

I'll try and see how this could work this week
