Body Fixtures and slicing tool
We have seen how to make simple rigid bodies like walls, circles, quadrilaterals, triangles, polygons and gears simply by drag and drop from the body toolbar in Simphy.
To make bodies with complex shapes, we can slice bodies or use body fixtures. To join two or more bodies, we have a Joint toolbar in Simphy. These joints provide constraint motion as needed in physics problems most of the time.
Slicing bodies: In the Misc toolbar, click on the scissor icon ‘slice bodies’. Slice through the body with a dragged mouse click to get desired shape.
Body Fixtures: To create complex shapes we can fix different bodies with each other with the help of body fixtures tool in the Miscellaneous toolbar.
You can take or discard union, intersection of bodies i.e. common and uncommon areas of bodies as shown in below gif.
