Add dedicated subspaces for the text box of strings

I want to suggest a way to make users access to a bigger screen where we can modify the string using the whole screen comfortably instead of this measer space:

To be more specific, I am asking a kind of way to open a different text box that uses a good chunk of the screen (60+%) with the string text in it where i can comfortably modify it. When i am done i can exit it and go back to the usual regexH screen.
I am not sure how it could be done UX speaking, i dont have examples from.other apps to.show u.

Even the regex text box has the same problem. When it is too big it becomes annoying.

There might be better solutions to this problem but i didnt have better ideas.
