When comparing one POI from your internal database with the online slippymap showing OSM based tiles, that map has not enough details. For example: POI icons and housenumbers are not displayed.
So sometimes it is not easy to decide whether that POI is already in OSM.
Maybe a solution: offer a link to display that specific area on www.openstreetmap.org (where you can even avtivate the OSM data layer.
Or at least: offer the original OSM Mapnik tiles to be displayed in your webservice.

thx for your feedback. You're right, the mapbox tiles are not very detailed and do not assist very good in making a decision wether or not a POI does exists in OSM. On the otherhand, no renderer is able to put every feature on the map. Of course the standard mapnik brings much more features to the table. I can switch tile layers to see of the helps.
