A user requested some improvements to flatten_spectra and flatten_spectra_multi:

update flatten_spectra to support different line styles and symbols for each panel (currently, only custom colors seems to be supported)
improve flatten_spectra_multi support for multiple panels (right now, it's mostly for multiple time stamps in a single panel)
