The App won't download

I am trying to download fire starter onto Amazon Fire stick, but no matter which version I try I only get the circle spinning for a short time in the top right hand corner, I have tried numerous times with no luck.

Hay just a thought but don't we own the hardware, and therefor have the right to install what we want on the stick.
