I'm building something cool

I'll cut straight to the point, the state of online tools in the UX world is...lacking. There are a few big players, but they are cost-prohibitive for new and small teams (not to mention individuals). Furthermore, the big players offer complex applications that come with quite a learning curve, making it difficult to get the research insights your team needs.

We have the technology

As an engineer turned designer, I have the background to make a positive impact in the UX tooling field. I know enough to understand the struggles in the field and I have the technical expertise to do something about it. That's why I've decided to start a new venture that I hope will grow into an invaluable resource for UX professionals and amateurs alike.

Introducing SimpleUX

For now, it's just a name, but there's a lot more coming. Our mission at SimpleUX will be to empower UX professionals through a suite of bullshit-free tools and educational resources that are available at whatever price point you can afford.

What does our mission mean specifically?

• Our tools will be easy to use and bloat-free.
• You pay what you think is fair or what you can afford, even if that's $0.
• SimpleUX goes beyond software, we'll be actively producing educational content to help grow designers and researchers.
• We're developing SimpleUX in the open. Full transparency. Our software is open-source and we'll communicate with the community every step of the way. Seriously.

What's next?

I hope you read through this and felt as excited as I do. We have a chance to make a huge impact, but we have to start somewhere. Our first step will be releasing "Card Sort by SimpleUX", an easy-to-use web application for conducting remote card sorting sessions.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be spinning up our website and social media accounts, but for now, stay tuned to this blog for updates (subscribe to make sure you're in the loop).
