I'm writing software that supports the pinball community, including the open-source IFPA mobile pinball app.
This includes:
- The Official IFPA Mobile App
- The IFPA Discord bot
- The IFPA Slackbot
- A #dotnet wrapper for the IFPA's v1 and v2 APIs
Software development on these projects brings in no income (the services above are open source and ad-free). However, there are a number of fixed expenses that I incur out of pocket to make and maintain those projects.
- iOS Developer Fee ($99 a year)
- Android Developer fee ($25)
- Tools like Github Copilot ($100 a year) and Visual Studio Professional subscription ($45 / month)
- Buying test devices
- Running services locally and in Azure
Any funds provided by this sponsorship will allow me to continue work on IFPA and pinball related software projects. This means more time I can devote to coding, more devices I can use for testing (like tablets and android devices), more robust hosting for the Discord bot, and overall makes it easier for me to devote time to supporting the pinball community!
