Hey there!

My name is Peter. I come from a small country in Europe 🏰. Programming is my passion since 1997, when I was still a child. Around that time I got my first computer - IBM PC 80386. I instantly fell in love, and without internet I was able to learn at least the basics of programming in QBasic and trying to create quiz games in MS DOS batch "language". My motivation has been always driven by new ideas I had, and they didn't have to be always so useful.

One might say I'd end up doing games 🎮, but instead I'm building computer emulation platform emuStudio, in which the goal is to combine basic IDE with emulation of real and abstract computers, in order to ignite learning process about now-old computers. emuStudio encourages to write your own emulators, has very nice documentation, and it is popular also in academic sphere.

emuStudio on Github is a family of repositories, of which it is worth mentioning also cup-maven-plugin, popular wrapper of CUP parser generator.

My professional focus on Scala led me to a take over and making significant enhancements to a community-driven IntelliJ plugin intellij-cucumber-scala, useful with Cucumber testing framework. The plugin enables navigation between step definitions and gherkin steps when using cucumber-scala DSL.

I'm not any coding challenge winner, but I gained a lot of experience as professional software engineer and open source developer. I'm proud on my projects from teen years, like a FAT32 defragmenter written in C, or my first steps in doing my own simple operating system qsOS.
