Hi! I am Vitor Pamplona, the lead developer for Amethyst, a native Nostr client for Android.

Wouldn't be nice to have a social media client that not only offers the best content it can find out there but also truly cares about your well-being while using the application? A client that doesn't bug you with #ads and that doesn't care about how much money you spent on the app? Social media has grappled with broken incentives since its inception. If we want to design a better social environment on the web, we must find sustainable development models that are more aligned with the well-being of users.

That's where Amethyst comes in. Amethyst is not only a great social media client based on the Nostr protocol, but we are also as open-source as it gets. There are no ads, no subscriptions, no in-app sales, and no rev-share models. It's your donations that keep us alive. That's it. Your donations will define where we go and how we develop things. No corporation can interfere with us.
