Hi, my name is Yan! I'm a front-end software engineer passionate about building complex, interactive web experiences for users. I write about my experiences working on the web, my opinions on some of the trends, and tips/advice on writing great code.

Outside of coding, I am an avid rock climber and snowboarder. I lead Spectrum (an LGBTQIA+ meetup) at Method Climbing in Newark, NJ. I am also a PSIA-AASI level 1 snowboard certified instructor.
