    • Fabric version: fixes a crash when an ItemStack had both the HIDE_TOOLTIP component and the FOOD component (#302)
    • NeoForge version: fixes the food value tooltip being drawn for ItemStacks with the HIDE_TOOLTIP component

Notes:

  • AppleSkin v3.0.2/v3.0.3 for Minecraft 1.20.5 also works for Minecraft 1.20.6

  • Fixed a possible infinite loop when estimating the health restored by the food the player is holding (#181, thanks @TigerWalts and @Darkere for reporting the bug and providing info on how to reproduce it)

Pretty much all of the changes in this update were done by @SAGESSE-CN, so huge thanks to them!

  • New tooltip style. Instead of the food values being outside the tooltip, they are now part of the tooltip.
  • The health that would be restored by eating food now gets shown on the HUD in the same style as the hunger restored (flashing icons overlayed on the health bar); this can be turned off in the config.
  • Flashing HUD icons are now slightly transparent and the amount of transparency can be controlled via the config
  • Added a config setting for showing HUD overlay stuff for food in your off-hand
  • Added an API so that other mods can interact with the AppleSkin tooltip if they need to
  • [Fabric version only] Added a config and integration with ModMenu's config screen
  • [Fabric version only] Fixed compatibility with REI

  • Food overlay now works for food in off hand (#65)
  • Clamp exhaustion to stop it from drawing outside the hunger bar in some situations (#66)
  • Improve support for 'rotten' foods (foods that give you negative status effects) (#69) [Forge for mc1.15.2 and Fabric versions only]
    • Food that gives you negative status effects will now have their hunger drawn using the 'rotten' food icon in their tooltips and their HUD overlay
    • Non-rotten food always draw its potential added hunger as non-rotten, and vice versa for rotten. Previously, if you were under the hunger status effect, all food would draw it's potential added hunger as rotten, but with this change it makes rotten/non-rotten distinguishable even when under the hunger status effect.
    • Removes the green background that would show when flashing the potential hunger from held held food, and instead uses a faint white for non-rotten and a very faint green for rotten foods. This makes rotten/non-rotten food more distinguishable when holding it.
