currently the vignettes, and especially skg2020_submission.Rmd render excruciatingly slowly, though just from the size of the data, I don't see why.
I haven't profiled/investigated in detail, but it seems like this could be a lot faster and/or cached.

ok, that's weird, unnest_legacy() instead of unnest() already solves a bunch of problems. Do I somehow have a bad {tidyr} version?
