It is important that \texttt{Map} be used carefully. It is the factory instance, not the type. map should likely be used to refer to the object in general, unless we want to refer to \texttt{MapBase} specifically.

Yeah, we play a little fast and loose with the terms, but writing it "right" may be not worth the pain of the relatively minor increase in accuracy.
