It is really hard to take this seriously with syntactically invalid HTML in the examples even though the code works.

A syntactically valid HTML example has been provided in the Valid HTML5 section of the README. The users of README may write syntactically valid HTML5 in their documents if they wish to do so. No more such examples will be considered in the README.

Sorry, I totally missed that closing HTML tags is no longer necessary.
