This seems to have started happening from version 1564. Basically, if you have high resolution mode set, once you hit certain missions the game will revert this option back to low res mode.
Replication steps:
Login with the pooslice cheat code on and start Eurocorp campaign
set screenmode to 640x480 in menu
start each mission and immediately complete it using alt+C
Once you get to the fourth mission Friendly Persuasion in Beijing it will have reset to 320x200 in-game
This also happens elsewhere, this just seems the fastest way to trigger it. Weirdly it seems to happen just before multi-mission stages of the campaign, not sure if that is a coincidence or not.

Does it happen only if you use non-standard screen modes?
Because that would suggest there are just more checks for specific video mode which are not remade yet.
It would mean the issue is not a regression, but rather a bug in new functionality.
Ahh yes, you are spot on. It seems to work fine in original 640 x 480 resolution, it's only non-standard resolutions that fail.
