Now this is awkward, to think the game already had such a functionality. But it doesn't seem to work that well, increasing brightness a great deal and the area outside the map borders is transparent and causes visual glitches over the background behind it.
Perhaps there's room for improvement, or should this just be closed?
Sometimes it can be difficult to see things on your ingame minimap because something behind it, such as a building with bright lights, shines through.
It would be great if there was a setting to configure its opacity, or a way to make it fully opaque.
