I'm using VS 2012, and Web Essentials and getting compilation errors when trying to view the less files:

Web Essentials still does not recognize variables in nested LESS files.
The compilation works for the metro-bootstrap.less, because it has all the imports, but once you get inside any of the nested files, Web Essentials throws the message you are getting.

This feature is being addressed, as you can see here: http://webessentials.uservoice.com/forums/140520-general/suggestions/3319362-recognize-variables-in-nested-less-files

As soon as Web Essentials support this, you will also benefit from it when using metro-bootstrap.

Thanks for your feedback.
